The International Tax Director is an integral member of the overall corporate tax team involved in a range of corporate income tax matters with primary focus being managing foreign outbound tax planning, the U.S. outbound tax compliance process, U.S. outbound audit matters, and foreign local country tax provisions. The International Tax Director will also actively support our Corporate Treasury function on cross-border cash matters.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage US international compliance, foreign tax provision and intercompany transfer pricing documentation
  • Provide oversight of foreign local country compliance outsourcing and assistance with audits
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining global tax planning strategies
  • Interact with various global finance teams and business units on tax related issues and opportunities as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring proper documentation of activities required to ensure compliance with implemented international tax planning projects
  • Responsible for implementing and improving processes within the Tax Department used for international compliance and planning
  • Assist with tax research and planning, ASC 740 for foreign tax provisions, and intercompany transfer pricing documentation
  • Assist in special projects such as acquisition due diligence as needed
  • Supervise other staff doing work in the international tax area

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA and/or Master of Taxation preferred; law degree with tax compliance and planning experience also highly considered
  • At least 8-10 years federal and international corporate income tax experience, with heavy concentration on U.S. outbound compliance and planning.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements with exposure to accounting for income taxes
  • A high level of motivation and initiative, and a team approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Corporate tax software
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail as accuracy of work is critical
  • Ability to research and problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
