Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company (LMIMCo), headquartered in Bethesda MD, is the named fiduciary for the investment of assets in Lockheed Martin sponsored pension, savings, and other employee benefit trusts. Our primary fiduciary responsibilities include the establishment of investment policies and strategies governing the investment of assets in various employee trust funds, and the appointment, removal, and monitoring of external investment managers and other service providers who exercise delegated authority over the investment and custody of trust Assets.

Job Description: Investment Risk Lead

The Risk Lead will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing investment risk across multi-asset class portfolios to support investment decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

The role’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Integrate risk/exposure analytics into investment decisions such as portfolio construction, rebalancing strategies, etc. The majority of your time will be spent on collaborating with asset allocation and portfolio management teams to identify critical exposures and optimize risk/reward for trust assets under management.
• Develop and maintain risk reporting packages across multi-asset class portfolios
• Assist with investment modeling for complex structured transactions and derivatives
• Play an important role in the ongoing development, implementation and upgrade of risk systems
• Serve as a contact with external service providers, such as custodian banks and risk system providers
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a quantitative discipline, with 10 years or more of related professional experience
• Working knowledge of institutional investing in various asset classes including, equity, fixed-income, commodities, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, etc. and familiarity with derivatives
• Previous working experience in risk management in a multi-asset class environment
• Demonstrated persistence to see projects through completion and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to maintain professional relationship with internal/external stakeholders
• Effective time management and communication skills with the ability to organize a workload with competing priorities
Desired Skills:
• Post graduate qualification and degrees such as CFA, FRM, MBA or equivalent
• Working knowledge in Barra One, FactSet and Bloomberg
• Significant experience with analysis and reporting of financial products and financial risk
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with experience driving projects, and ability to implement change in a cross-functional environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment
• Ambitious, self-starter with an attention to details

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
