The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Power Subsystem Program Manager (Level L) for the E-7 Air Vehicle IPT. The Air Vehicle IPT is a highly dynamic team environment developing and maintaining Electrical, Mechanical Systems, Structures, Interiors and Payloads on the E-7 platform across multiple country offerings. The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable, and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world.

The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships. The E-7 program is an important program for Boeing with significant growth potential.

The Power Subsystem Program Manager will be responsible for technical supplier management of the power subsystems across all E-7 country offerings and will report directly to the E-7 Air Vehicle Director.

This position is located in Tukwila Washington and will require 50 travel to Rockford Illinois. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for E-7 Air Vehicle technical supplier management of the power subsystem.

  • Driving Supplier performance to plan through the preparation and facilitation of weekly program management meetings, monthly business performance reviews, and other E-7 program deep dives and/or non-advocate reviews

  • Ownership of Electrical Power Generation System (EPGS) and Secondary Power Generation System (SPDS) subsystem supplier execution, first time quality and delivery of these Air Vehicle products through develop, build, and test phases of the program

  • Managing the supplier baseline and change management processes and risk/issue/opportunity management

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners

  • Use Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) self-assessments and associated continuous improvement with people, processes, and tools

  • Fostering a culture of inclusiveness, ownership and urgency with a focus on having fun

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership

  • 3+ years of experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication

  • 3+ years of experience creating and managing technical Risk and Opportunity (RIO) evaluations of cost and schedule impacts

  • 1+ years of Change Management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working as a senior leader or manager

  • 3+ years of experience in program management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and/or customers

Position may require travel up to 50 of the time.

Summary pay range: $168,300 – $227,700
