Why This is an Exciting Role:

This position will support the execution of Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Systems Integration, Test, & Readiness (SITR) program. The Special Projects group within SITR Business Operations is responsible for executing a diverse set of projects that are critical to the efficient execution of the contract and meeting our commitments to the customer.  This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a skilled team of generalists that solve some of the most challenging program execution issues, value diversity, and learn from each other. In this role you will be responsible for strategically planning, leading, organizing and motivating agile project teams to achieve exceptional performance to deliver high-quality projects and provide significant business value to the program and the customer. The project manager will also manage multiple diverse and concurrent projects effectively.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 5+ years of project management experience

Required Qualifications: ​

  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels, including management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to bring together a diverse team to solve challenging problems.  
  • Exceptional analytical, planning, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage competing demands and prioritize effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus on details while maintaining a holistic view of the project.
  • Proven proactive approach to driving issue resolution and delivering results.

Desired Qualifications: ​

  • PMP or similar certification
  • Experience leading projects in an aerospace industry

Telework Availability: None but the team does work a 9/80 schedule

Work Location: Huntsville, AL

 

 

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$$148,200- $163,800
