The Regional Manager is responsible for operations in multiple locations. This position plans, directs, and coordinates, through subordinate personnel, activities to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Consults with airport management. Manages and motivates operational personnel. Confers and cooperates with upper management in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. Analyzes records of daily operations to maintain knowledge of station activities. Reviews and analyzes expenditures, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profits. Prepares recommendations on findings for upper management evaluation.
Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment which would increase efficiency and services. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within limits of facility budget. Enforces compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations. Directs investigations into cause of internal and external complaints relating to the facility. May negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers. Has full responsibility for the station’s financial planning and performance. Has an active role in the sales and development activities associated with the station. Responsible for implementation of a station management system, ensuring safety and security in station operations. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.
Work with GMs to review, provide input to, and approve site security plans for each warehouse in assigned region. Ensure staff in reporting chain observe and enforce WFS and government safety and security policies, regulations, and directives, and work with Corporate and regional security teams to conduct compliance audits and assurance in region. Be familiar with details of security mandates from: Transportation Safety Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, local airport authority, and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol, and be prepared to answer questions. Work with Corporate and regional security and training teams to communicate, enforce, ensure training of, and hold accountable employees, as related to WFS and government security policies, regulations and directives. In coordination with Corporate and regional security staff, immediately report and investigate compliance issues or government identified infractions to the Corporate level Security Governance Committee for their awareness and action as needed.
