We operate out of our award-winning headquarters at the Portland-Hillsboro Airport (KHIO).

The Position

As an FAA Certified Part 145 Repair Station, Hillsboro Aviation supports comprehensive maintenance, avionics, and parts needs for a diverse customer base. From privately owned airplanes and helicopters to corporate fleets, we serve private, commercial, and government interests. We are an approved service facility for Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopters, Honda Aircraft, Cessna, Beechcraft, and Cirrus. Our full-service facility supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services including heavy maintenance, avionics, and AOG emergencies; and our factory-trained mechanics and avionics technicians boast an average of over 20 years of experience.

In support of remote and complex operations around the world, we offer extensive aircraft parts inventory and dedicated shipping services to ensure rapid AOG response 24/7/365. We maintain relationships with over 55 manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers, and we leverage those relationships to provide exceptional customer service and competitive pricing to our customers.

This position reports to the director of service center and FBO and is responsible for increasing sales while nurturing long-term relationships with our customer base. The sales manager works closely with the service center and parts sales teams to promote our services to new and existing customers, including but not limited to:

  • Service center maintenance
  • Service center avionics
  • Parts sales

Ideal candidates are engaging, energetic, and driven; are able to work independently within their areas of responsibilities under limited supervision; value a strong work ethic and optimistic attitude; maintain a critical eye for detail and organization; are excited to represent Hillsboro Aviation in front of key customers, including domestic and foreign governments, community leaders, and business partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect new customers
  • Provide detailed sales and revenue forecasts
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interaction and sales funnel opportunities within company CRM system, HubSpot
  • Execute strategic marketing plans
  • Work with the senior management team to achieve short and long-term company goals and objectives
  • Travel as necessary to customer visits, conferences, and tradeshows
  • Attend relevant local, national, and international trade shows and exhibits
  • >50 travel is expected for this position

Qualifications/Licenses

  • Must possess an unrestricted passport and driver’s license

Required Skills/Experience

  • Aviation-related sales experience – minimum 5 years
  • Experience with general aviation sales and operations – airplane and helicopter maintenance and avionics services
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent in education and experience
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to prepare and effectively deliver presentations
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities & projects simultaneously

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Aviation-related business management experience (P&L oversight/budgeting/operations)
  • Pilot certificate / Aviation mechanic certificate
  • Part 145 Repair Station experience
  • Experience with maintaining and/or operating both airplanes and helicopters
  • Experience with Quantum software
  • Experience with Hubspot
  • Experience with AS9110
  • Extra consideration will be given to candidates possessing either specific regional and/or market segment expertise.
