Key Responsibilities:

The IT Senior Product Manager will lead and drive the evolution of Supply Chain systems supporting airline Technical Operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for keeping up with Supply chain industry trends, define product strategy, developing roadmaps, and executing initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and innovation of our supply chain processes.

· Product Management

o Lead or participate in the definition of product strategy

o Maintain effective working relationships with key business & technology leaders, industry experts and partners

o Be the primary interface for key business and technology stakeholders for assigned products

o Establish and manage the product roadmaps

o Manage ongoing updates to product roadmaps and communications across multiple key stakeholders

o Define and maintain product KPIs including key business and financial metrics

· Innovation

o Monitor and triage the competitive landscape to influence product evolution

o Participate in key industry forums – be an advocate for United in influencing their direction

o Oversee the innovation agenda for assigned products

· Project Delivery

o Manage business case development for strategic initiatives

o Document scope and conduct business analysis for strategic initiatives

o Manage scope and delivery roadmap of strategic initiatives – in alignment with product priorities

o Lead the analysis & design phases of strategic initiatives, as needed

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business or related field
  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product management
  • 2+years Agile/Scrum experience
  • Translate business strategy into product strategy and product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues
  • Prioritizing product features and communicating the reason behind this to the team members
  • Scope activities based on business and customer impact
  • Own the product roadmap
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Expert knowledge of airline systems, functionality, and industry standards
  • Expert knowledge of product management, case development and business analysis
  • Proven skills in project planning, roadmap development and detailed status reporting
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Masters degree
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) or New Product Development (NPD) Professional Certification a plus
  • Prior experience as an engineer or technical lead
  • Previous airline or travel industry experience a plus
