Responsibilities

The Sr Manager, AP Contracts and Analytics oversees and drives the contractual performance and business relationship with ground handling partners and internal stakeholders to meet corporate goals and deliver value to Spirit.  

 

  • Contract Management: Develop procedures and reports for cost-plus contracts. Determine the economics, benefits, maintain & transition to the Cost plus contracts for BW operations in the larger stations. Prioritize and schedule projects related to contract compliance to current terms and conditions. Continual analysis for best business practices and cost/operational benefit to Spirit.
  • Contract Administration: Perform daily/monthly contract administration including timely and accurate invoice oversight and monthly activity reconciliation. Provides contract negotiation support to new or expiring contracts. 
  • Vendor Performance: Oversight of monthly vendor evaluation program to ensure compliance with operational and financial performance. Redesign & Manage the SLA program with new KPIs– set goals with the business partners & General Managers Develop, communicate and support a regular and consistent evaluation process and corrective action plan documentation. 
  • Strategic Planning: Support the contracting process as required by new business, developments or other strategic initiatives. Evaluate macroeconomic market conditions to determine wage escalations & adopt changes to protect operations. Participate in financial and budget planning for contract services. Participate in the development of sourcing strategies, assessment of current and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers and opportunities.
  • Maximize operational efficiency: Utilize Sabre Staff Plan, PowerBI, Python & R to accurately forecast station manpower & budget requirements. Standardize approach to effective staffing at all domestic airports.
  • Control airport operating costs: Provide accurate station resource requirements backed by analytics and software driven solutions. Play key role in planning for over $500M in annual station costs.  
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments). 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 5-7 years experience (3+ in the Airline Industry, 2+ Analytics and Data Manipulation).
  • Proficient in Sabre Staff Plan, PowerBI, Python, R and Excel.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and present at all levels of the internal organization and with stakeholders. 
  • Must be a highly analytical thinker able to organize data and identify opportunities to create effective solutions.
  • Remote Work: Hybrid
  • Domestic and International travel approximately 25 of the time.
