Location:
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we mainly support Airbus Helicopters in developing helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

This position is part of our Safety Business Unit. Safer, more sustainable and more integrated production and transport systems are its goals.
Tasks and responsibilities
Support the establishment of safety analyses for (military) helicopters systems, supporting all the phases during and after certification
Generating and update of assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) of intended design modifications to influence the system architecture according to the required System Safety/System Integrity
Determine the particular Safety requirements for system developments or modifications with respect to hardware and software
Establish requests for evidence (tests, simulation, analyses), as well as Procedures and Limitations for ground- and aircrew
Manage input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance and quality, etc.)
Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability. Generating the System Safety Assessment documentation, based on traceable results and evidence, as mandatory proof to acquire the Type Certificate
Desired skills and qualifications
Completed degree in either Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
First experience in the field of System Safety Engineering in the aviation industry
First experience with Helicopter Systems, preferentially for military aircrafts
Target-oriented with analytic problem-solving skills
Willing to learn new things
Able to perform several Systems Safety tasks in parallel
Team player, organized and autonomous person with good communication skills
Very good written and spoken English and German (B2)
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
This position may require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
