Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Entry-Level Desktop Systems Installer to join our team in Hertford, NC.

Installation and termination of Fiber Optic cabling. Position will support Unclassified Telephones, Notifier Fire Alarms, Crestron Audio Visual equipment, Facility TV system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision performs basic installation, configuration, relocation and maintenance of network delivery systems components
  • Under supervision performs basic computing maintenance and testing
  • Supports others performing network consultation
  • Develops understanding of network asset management processes
  • Uses automated tools and databases to retrieve network design package requirements for implementation

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • General understanding and knowledge of computing and network infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
  • Experience with Fiber Optic cabling, Unclassified Telephones, Notifier Fire Alarms, Crestron Audio Visual equipment, and/or Facility TV systems

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
