Import Export Traffic Coordinator Summary
Responsible for export traffic and compliance for NA mills & melting facilities. Safely producing quality product, cost effectively with excellent service to both external and internal customers.
Essential Functions
Arranging and managing freight moves for Toronto, Morgantown and Henderson.
Work directly with TIMET shipping departments and traffic to ensure timely shipments and export compliance.
TIMET NA site liaison for international sea freight exports and imports LCL and FCL , international air freight exports and imports to TIMET contracted export services provider.
Ensures TIMET compliance with customs, management, and involvement with TIMET duty drawback programs.
Ensuring all documents regarding letters of credit and customs filing are completed on TIMET&39;s behalf and forward to TIMET&39;s contracted export service provider.
Booking and support for EXW shipments both import and export to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Support and training for export compliance.
Liaise with contracted export provider on TIMET&39;s behalf for import of goods under TIB (Temporary import bond) so that duty fees are not accrued on material under process for future return to origin .
Direct outside converters as required.
ISF & AES Filing on TIMET&39;s behalf.
Performs other shipping related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Support the development and application of the appropriate performance metrics that will promote long-term continuous improvement programs consistent with the operating objectives of the department.
Provides support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
Qualifications
Competencies
Extensive knowledge and training in export processes and compliance.
General knowledge of manufacturing processes, export compliance in manufacturing of titanium extruded products.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Metric driven
Computer skills and the ability to advance those skills as required
Education and Experience
Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Management, Logistisc, or Operations or equivalent export logistics experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes.
Special Skills
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of import and export regulations, complaince and processes
A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
