Convair Café is situated in one of the working hangars of KF Aerospace. We offer a unique aircraft inspired dine-in experience serving high quality food and drinks to our onsite employees as well as external customers.

JOB OVERVIEW

Do you provide great customer service and have experience in the food and beverage industry? Bring these skills to our Kitchen Helper/Server position! 

We are looking for someone who enjoys getting hands-on in the kitchen with food prep but can also jump in on Front of House Server duties as needed. 

Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task while maintaining positive customer interactions.  

JOB DUTIES

• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Baking pre-prepared items
• Washing  dishes 
• Taking customer’s orders and using the POS system
• Brewing coffer and making specialty coffees (no experience required)
• Run food orders to dine-in guests and clearing tables 
• Boxing-up food orders from the pastry cabinet
• General cleaning (e.g. washing dishes, restocking condiments, weekly cleaning tasks)
• Opening and closing duties

REQUIREMENTS 

• Basic food preparation and food handling skills
• Prior customer service experience, ideally in a hospitality setting
• Must have a driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Foodsafe Certification would be an asset 
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain positive customer service
• Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems 
• Ability to work and communicate well with a team

HOURS OF WORK

Convair Café is open Monday to Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm (hours will be extended slightly during the warmer months) 

We are looking for a part-time person to work 20 – 30 hours per week. You will need a driver’s license and your own transport. 

Shifts may vary but the successful candidate would need to be available between 7:30am (for opening shifts) and 3:30pm for closing shifts depending on the shift.
