The F-22 Raptor Training Program is seeking a Mid-Level Training Device Technician, to support F-22 Raptor Mission simulator maintenance, Pilot and Maintenance Crew training at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) near Anchorage, Alaska. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.


This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidate must be able to work different shifts/irregular hours.

  • Experience in the maintenance of simulation systems, computing systems, network systems and/or aircraft avionic systems.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A current Secret U.S. Security Clearance most recent within past 5 years is considered active.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Completed formalized vocational training programs in systems technologies, advanced computing and network systems, and/or aircraft simulator maintenance.

  • Previous experience in the maintenance of training devices and training systems.

  • Previous experience in supervision of maintenance technicians.

  • Experience with digital input/output systems.

  • Knowledge of System Administration and Network protocols.

  • Security Plus or Network plus certification highly desired.

  • Knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System.

  • Security+ Certification to comply with government Information Assurance.

  • Knowledge of Cisco switches.

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.). 

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range:        63,750 - 86,250
