Cal-Ore Life Flight is providing services for the REACH Air Medical Services, LLC d/b/a Sierra Life Flight program.  This position is located in Bishop, CA.
 
Sierra Lifeflight provides emergent air ambulance transportation in the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Our corporate base of operations is located in Bishop California at the Eastern Sierra Regional Airport. We operate two fixed wing aircraft capable of speeds over 300 miles per hour. Sierra Lifeflight services the hospitals in Bishop, Mammoth, and Lone Pine California. Since our inception in 1993 Sierra Lifeflight strives to provide the best emergent medical transportation, in the safest environment. Each flight has an EMS Pilot, Flight Registered Nurse, and Flight Paramedic. Each crewmember is carefully screened, and provided with specialty training to work in the air-ambulance environment. Safety and Quality patient care is our priority.
 
The Sierra Lifeflight FW Pilot provides customer oriented high quality air medical transport services in a safe and efficient manner. The pilot is expected to act as a proactive and integral team player, both in flight, and during ground operations, utilizing communication and technical skills which will strengthen the company goal of being held in highest regard within the EMS industry.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
  • 3000 hours total time (airplane)
  • 1500 hours PIC (airplane)
  • 1000 hours of multi-engine time
  • 500 hours turbo prop
  • 500 hours IMC
  • 500 hours cumulative night experience
  • 200 hours of cumulative IFR experience
  • ATP rating is required
  • EMS and FAR 135 experience preferred
  • Formal FAA Approved training.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess Instrument Piloting skills.
  • Perform constant risk management.Ability to make rapid sound decisions based on safety as the prime goal.
  • Must maintain situational awareness at all times.Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and persuasively.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work efficiently and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set/re-set multiple priorities.
  • Presents a professional image as a Cal-Ore flight team member.
  • Maintains a positive team attitude with flight crew members, maintenance technician, and communication specialist by working cohesively.
  • Works independently and tolerates high stress levels while maintaining a good rapport with co-workers.
  • Maintains ongoing knowledge of relevant aviation SOP’s.
