After analyzing the reported malfunction and determining the level of repair needed the employee will notify His or Her supervisor and begin the repair process. These repairs include but are not limited to wiring, controls, components replacement and or control modifications that are needed to bring the equipment back to its safe and compliant operation. The employee will be tasked with providing a detailed summary of repairs and or control updates, and will request that any spares used be evaluated for replenishment. Employees will work with Facilities and or automation engineers to evaluate failed components. Together they can determine if OEM or a certified repair process for component rebuild/refurbishment is a viable option. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Determines proper method of removing covers or machine guarding to gain access to components for testing and repairs. Removal or installation of Electrical cabinets and guarding must be done by following industry applicable safety protocol. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Diagnose, troubleshoot and determine proper method for repair or replacement of failed components. Submits information to supervisor or Facilities office for approval of subsequent repair or necessary purchases.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Installation and maintenance on electrical equipment that powers factory machinery such as lathes, mulit-axis drilling and milling machines, paint booths, automated assembly and layup robots, electric welders, and items of similar complexity. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Ability to work from work orders, service requests, blueprints, wiring sketches and Electrical schematics. Utilizes verbal information from Senior employees in your field of expertise, maintenance supervisors and or Facilities engineers.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Once repair or installation is complete, the employee will test equipment to ensure safety, performance, and accuracy meet requirements before turning over to end users. Responsible for reporting mechanical problems to the supervisor and locking out un-safe systems. Proactive in proceeding with necessary repairs utilizing relevant safety protocols. Reviews schematics, writing diagrams, performance specifications and manufacturing manuals to become familiar with the design and operating requirements of the equipment and the multi-purpose electronic and/or electro-mechanical controls systems. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Ability to set up and operate a variety of highly sensitive and precise electronic test tools and equipment. Conduct functional and operation testing on electrical equipment. If the repair was performed on a machine or robot the employee will need to operate the controller in order to run necessary cycles and calibration routines. The intent of this equipment cycling is to ensure the equipment is ready to be turned over to production. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• When asked the employee will be responsible for assisting with the planning of upcoming installations, repairs, and PM’s of electronic and/or electro-mechanical equipment. Performs preventive maintenance utilizing work orders and relevant schematics and user manuals. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Ability to Make critical adjustments during trouble shooting and testing events. These adjustments can include but are not limited to changes to ladder logic, parameter settings, PLC programming and other electrical components. These changes will be to properly sync, align and tune highly sensitive inter-related circuits and electro-mechanical systems.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Establishes arrangement and location of components to eliminate electronic interference. Assures component placement allows for proper heat dissipation and provides safe access for PM’s and maintenance.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Analyze and repair as needed automatic control instruments and related recording devices used in the operation of industrial manufacturing equipment such as ovens, furnaces, clean rooms and autoclaves. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;Adjust mechanisms controlled by the above devices. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Maintain logs and reports necessary for preventive maintenance and service records. Communicates with management and supervision by verbal, written and electronic means.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;• Examine malfunctioning electrical equipment and determines if repairs or replacement parts are needed, disassembles and takes part or parts to repair shop.
