This technician independently plans and accomplishes complete inspection projects or studies of broad scope and complexity, or serves as an expert in a narrow aspect of non-destructive and dimensional inspection of aircraft structural assemblies, forgings, or sonic configurations.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Working with site management/engineering personnel to determine reasons for non-conformances related to the structural integrity of aircraft structures, assemblies/forgings, and or components, and to recommend degree of failure and/or repair.
A detailed working knowledge of aircraft NDI tools, probes, etc. in performance of inspection is required.
Candidate is required to possess or identify specific inspection tools necessary to perform these tasks.
Client prefers candidates with an Associate Degree in a related field and a level II Certification is required, Level III Certification desired.
Candidate may be required to deploy to site specific locations in support of required inspection and/or repair recommendations.
Must have a detailed knowledge of NDI tools and process specifications for the performance of required inspections on the P-3 type aircraft.
