| Job Desc: |
Aerotek CE is currently searching for a seasoned Electro-Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated capability to design of aerospace cockpit components. This company specializes in operator interfaces for aerospace, defense, and other industries that demand high reliability in challenging environments. This Mechanical Engineer is responsible for design and manufacturing support of pushbutton switches. Design responsibilities include research, design, development, and testing of electro-mechanical switch products for high reliability applications. The candidate should be skilled at mechanism design, machine design and design for manufacturability. Experience in optics and/or electrical contact design is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include: • CAD modeling using Pro-Engineer Wildfire III • Mathematical modeling and analysis of mechanical systems • Detailed design of mechanical components • Design for manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, blanking and forming • Customer communication to resolve technical issues • Participate on Proposal Development teams • Problem solving in support of production and customer needs • Technical Leadership of project teams The position requires a BSME degree with at least 5 years or relative experience. Avionics/aerospace design experience is preferred; CATIA experience a bonus.
