JOB DESCRIPTION
Interface with the FAA on certification issues.Coordinate requirements for approval with Engineering and Quality Control.Assist in any other certification related activities required.
Will be the company Stress analysis expert.Determine applicable FARs for each certification program.Review and FAA approval of engineering documents.Coordinate projects with Engineering Design, Flight Test, Production, and Quality Control personnel.Determine required testing for STC projects.Plan, witness, conduct testing, control and maintain certification data for STC projects.Conduct and determine FAR compliance inspections.Prepare, review, approve certification documents.Interface with FAA personnel as applicable.Assure compliance with the regulatory requirements of other countries.Other assigned work as requested by Certification Manager or the DAS/ODA Administrator.

| Requirements: |
JOB REQUIREMENTS
BS in Mechanical Engineering or appropriate experience.Expert in structural/stress analysis.(FEA and hand calculations).Designated Engineer Representative (DER) delegation in Structures preferred.Thorough working knowledge of CFR/FAR Part 27 and 29 preferred.8 years of experience in direct contact with the FAA Aircraft Certification Offices (ACO‘s) working specific FAA projects (STC‘s, Service Bulletins, substantiation reports, test plans and reports, etc.).10 years of experience with increasing responsibility in engineering tasks. (design, manufacturing, installation, liaison, certification, engineering management, etc.) related to structural design/analysis.Experience leading or managing a structural engineers/designers.Thorough working knowledge of DAS/ODA procedures.
