| Job Desc: |
Responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating the safety and occupational health component of Air Ambulance operations, personnel, materials, equipment, and environments to achieve safety effectiveness for the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assists top management in preparing safety policies and procedures; provides support in implementing these policies and procedures. 2. Ensures that federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules are observed. 3. Ensures that FAA and OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met. 4. Monitors activities where accidents could occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel or equipment. 5. | Requirements: |
Must have extensive experience in:1. Safety & Occupational Health (S&OH)2. Composite Risk Management (CRM)3. Executive Level Training and Briefings4. Project Management 5. Corporate-Level Safety Program Management6. Training Development & Delivery7. Accident InvestigationBachelor‘s degree in safety engineering preferred but not required, or five (10) years‘ experience in an aviation company with occupational safety responsibilities required. A comparable combination of education and experience in an aviation company will be considered. Strong persuasive skills in dealing with top management and with line managers and supervisors. Ability to organize safety and occupational health material into lesson plans and present the material to line managers and safety committee effectively.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Performs other related duties, as required.2. May supervise clerical person in posting of OSHA log and other administrative work.NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. |
