| Job Desc: |
Perform scheduled/unscheduled Organizational Level
maintenance on specific applicable VX-31 T/M/S aircraft airframe, egress,ordnance, power plants and related systems hired to maintain. Perform flight line essential services as directed to support the daily VX-31 Flight Schedule. Mechanics shall have Naval Organizational Level experience and documented qualifications for the specific T/M/S platform that they are hired and assigned to support within VX-31.
Organizational Level maintenance experience strongly preferred and desired over other options. The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, power plants and related systems (fuel, oil, and air systems for both the power plant and airframe), auxiliary power unit, ventilation, ejection seats, Cartridge Activating Devices (CAD), Upload/Download live and inert ordnance, aircraft guns/gun pallets, POD‘s, cooling and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, remove and replace engines, gearboxes and driveshaft‘s, functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as common hand-tools. T/M/S applicable hand-tools, hoists, cranes, shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

Aircraft Mechanic I shall have not less than 3 yearsUSN/USMC/USCG Organizational Level NAMP aircraft maintenancesupport experience. These mechanics shall have not less than 3 YEARST/M/S specific aircraft maintenance experience for the VX-31 T/M/Saircraft hired to maintain. Egress mechanics shall have documentation ofsuccessful completion of the US Navy Egress/NACES course. Experience asT/M/S applicable Plane Captain, Ordnance Lead Team Member, currentstate Driver‘s License, tow tractor license is strongly desired. VX-31Organizational Level Aircraft maintenance experience is most preferred. |
