OSF Aviation, LLC is the provider of air medical support services to hospitals in the OSF Healthcare System. The program currently operates three Bell Model 230 IFR capable aircraft. Typical crew configuration for all transport missions is one pilot and two to three medical crew members.
Pilots are required to possess a minimum of 2,000 hours of Pilot in Command time, with a Commercial Helicopter certificate and current instrument rating. All of the pilots at Life Flight hold an Air Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. The mechanics receive mandatory annual maintenance training to maintain currency with aircraft and maintenance procedures. Aircraft are hangared on-site with capability to perform all major and minor maintenance requirements.
OSF Aviation which is a hospital based FAA Part 135 certificate holder is seeking an experienced pilot for a single pilot IFR Bell 230 EMS position in Peoria Illinois. Previous Bell 222/230 experience, helicopter ATP rating, NVG experience, and helicopter EMS experience are a plus. Minimum Requirements:
FAA commercial and instrument rotorcraft ratings.
Current FAA second class medical.
2000 hours PIC in helicopters.
100 hours night unaided.
75 hours instrument/hood time (at least 50 hours in actual flight).
500 hours of cross country flight time.
500 hours turbine helicopter.
Pilot weight is limited to 230 pounds maximum.

Starting pay of $80,000 annually for helicopter ATP rating.
Starting pay of $75,000 for commercial instrument helicopter rating. Commercial instrument helicopter rated pilots will receive a pay increase to $80,000 annually upon satisfactory completion of FAR 135.297 certification and ATP written examination.
