JSfirm Member Press: Comlux Opens Indy Completion and Mx Center

A year-and-a-half after Comlux spent $3.4 million to purchase and renovate the Indianapolis Jet Center, it officially opened its completion and maintenance center there yesterday. The operation will focus on two areas: Bombardier business jet maintenance, outfitting and refurbishment; and outfitting and refurbishing larger executive aircraft such as the BBJ and ACJ. In an exclusive interview with AIN, Ettore Rodaro, president of Comlux USA, gave credit for the development of the new facility to David Edinger, Comlux Aviation Services CEO. “David has personally hand picked some of the world’s best talent to join us here and build upon the excellent talent base we inherited when we acquired Indianapolis Jet Center. Through careful restructuring, and by adding key back shops, we can now do all of the work required without having to rely on third-party providers. It dramatically increases our quality control, delivery schedule and costs.” Bombardier chose the occasion to announce its appointment of Comlux Aviation Services as an authorized service facility for its business aircraft. With the addition of Comlux, Bombardier now has 41 facilities (ASFs and line maintenance shops) in 21 countries.
