Requirements: 
 Two years minimum experience with aircraft. 
 FAA certificated required. 
 Must be able to inspect and advise others based on professional experience and technical manuals and take the corrective action necessary to accomplish job. 
 Able to train others and be a team oriented individual with great communicating abilities. 
 Submit to DOT substance abuse testing.

Task/Skill 
Paperwork 
 Audit paperwork  update work packages, verify all customer NRCs, task cards are annotated and complied with. 
 Generate and flow work packages  start to end. 
 Inspect paint and NR aircraft and document as required. 
 Verify production processes IAW proper reference. 
 Interpret customer paperwork (task cards, drawings etc.) for production. 
 Write production process using customer supplied documentation. 


Policies and Procedures 
 Inspect and write audit of hangar, safety areas, and employee &amp; training files. 
 Comply with vendor self audits. 
 Answer and comply with company and customer audit and discrepancy findings. 
 Basic knowledge of company and DOT anti-drug &amp; alcohol policy. 
 Through knowledge of CFRs pertaining to APs Operations. 
 Maintain company and customer documents through revisions and audits. 
 Some knowledge of OSHA safety and documentation of injury reports. 
 Through knowledge of tools required by the customer and company in the inspection of aircraft. 
 Knowledge of aircraft accident and investigation procedures and documentation. 
 Ability to write and enforce policies and procedures. 


Communication Skills 
 Communicate within the company as to the requirements needed to fulfill a timely and clean release of a task or job. 
 Communicate with production and customers as to audit findings. 
 Be able to communicate well with authority. Example: AP upper management and FAA inspectors. 
 Represent APs best interest when dealing with customers without causing conflict with the customer. 


Training Skills 
 Be able to provide class room/on-site, small group, individual and OJT training to company personnel. 
 Update training files IAW current CFR and company regulations. 
 Maintain a current knowledge of training requirements, subjects and processes. 
 Write and maintain training materials, handouts, class schedules and class rosters.

Coats surfaces of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices. Removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper. Smooth surface with sandpaper and/or steel wool. Roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to insure that paint adheres to surface. Masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted. Paints insignia, letters, or numerals on aircraft surface using stencils. 

 Knowledge of preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components. 
 Knowledge of military publications, microfilm, and diagrams is mandatory. 
 Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work requirements. 
 Completion of high school and specialized training courses is desirable.
 Employee must have attended a military corrosion/paint school. 
 Minimum of four (4) years actual and recent experience in the preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied component surfaces. 
 Employee shall be qualified to wear a respirator in accordance with OPNAVINST 5100.23 (series) and have a current paint physical in accordance with applicable BUMED instruction.
