Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager Customer Service Finance, the Manager of Customer Service Finance plays a critical role in synthesizing all available Customer Service operational and financial data to provide insights to enhance our business strategy and provides oversight for Customer Service general accounting, financial reporting and financial systems. This position will primarily provide oversight and management of Customer Service Inventory Management including periodic analysis of various inventory accounts and inventory reserves and provide oversight over Customer Service cycle count program, scrapping procedures, etc.
This position is responsible for management and execution of the Customer Service financial close, internal and external reporting, technical accounting matters and special projects, ensuring that all financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered timely to stakeholders.
The position is also responsible for and ensures that the companys internal controls over financial reporting are met within Customer Service.
The Manager, Customer Service Finance must be a self-starter, and develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, drive execution while being very collaborative and promote a team environment.
Principal Duties:
- Manage the day to day, and monthly activities over Customer Service Inventory management including but not limited to:
- Maintain and periodic review of standard cost
- Review and Process Price Variance Adjustment
- Review and Process Inventory Scraps
- Reconcile and analyze all Customer Service inventory accounts, inventory reserve accounts, overhaul allowance, WIP account, Price Variance Account, Cost Accumulation Accounts, etc.
- Assist the Senior Manager Customer Service Finance in the oversight of the Customer Service Cycle Count Program
- Assist the Senior Manager Customer Service Finance in establishing and maintaining management reports, KPIs, etc. over Customer Service Maintenance program (FalconCare)
- Assist in maintaining and reviewing FalconCare Free of Charge program
- Responsible for accuracy of Customer Service month-end closings, make appropriate GL adjustments
- Synthesize all available operational and financial data, set up key KPIs to provide insights to enhance our business strategy, present findings to key stakeholders, maintain Customer Service performance metrics
- Improve current business processes and financial reports
- Ensure that the companys internal controls over financial reporting are met within Customer Service
- Maintain Capital expenditures reporting
- Develop and maintain Customer Service Financial Reporting procedures and policies
- Coordinate Inter-company billings with Finance
- Monitor and reconcile Customer Service accrual accounts assigned by Corporate.
- Development and mentoring of staff
- Other duties may be assigned by management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as-needed basis
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master degree in Accounting or Business Administration and Certified Public Accountant (Preferred)
- 8 – 10 years combined experience in General Accounting/Financial Analysis/Analytics/Business Intelligence
- 3+ years management responsibilities
- Strong Inventory, Costing and Inventory Reserve background (Required)
- SAP Experience (Preferred)
- Excellent attention to details but able to think big picture and present thoughts in a concise manner
- Task oriented and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving acumen
- Demonstrated Project management skills
- Experience consulting with business owners to identify reporting needs, cost reduction and revenue opportunities and translate needs to business plans
- Technical skills in data extraction, analysis, and visualization.
- Expert in Excel (pivot tables and Vlookups), Word, PowerPoint
