As the Accounts Payable Clerk you will be responsible for processing passenger claims and payments in accordance to company policy. What You’ll Do:
- Review, Enter and post invoices in Great plains and Process payments (EFT, Cheque, Wire)
- Communicate with Vendors/Customers and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Reconcile returned funds and communicate with operations team to correct customer information.
- Record all cheques, EFTs, credit card payments and wire transfers. Prepare for mailing and maintain filing of accounts payable.
- Communicate with Operations team daily on status of payments and make any adjustments as requested.
- Verify transactions to comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Manage and distribute incoming e-mails.
- Other duties and projects as requested
What You’ll Need:
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in accounts payable.
- Advanced in MS Office products – Excel
- Effective team player
- Well-organized, detail-oriented and consistently accurate
- Able to work independently, effectively and constructively under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
- Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
