The Accounts ReceivableOfficer will report to the Manager, Financial Accounting and will beresponsible for managing and overseeing the company’s accounts receivableprocesses, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintainingaccurate records.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Verifying and issuing invoices to clients based onpurchase orders received, tickets issued, airway bills, handling charges, andother supporting documents
- Contactingclients with reminders of invoices due for payment
- Processingand accurately applying payments received to the client’s respective ledgers
- Reconcilingcustomer accounts and ensure accurate records are maintained
- Performingmonth-end procedures and ensuring that the Accounts Receivables ledger isclosed within 8 business days
- Preparingthe aged receivables report, highlighting past due accounts and action plan foreach
- Ensuringthat all customer records are kept up-to-date and files, including emails, arefiled accordingly
- Performingother relevant tasks and prepare reports that management needs
RequirementsQualifications,Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma with O’ level passesin Math and English
- Degree in Business preferred and/or a minimum of 3-4years of related experience with emphasis on accounts receivable management,accounting or bookkeeping
- Excellent organizational, communication andmathematical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, at times, to meetstrict deadlines is essential
- High standard of professionalism and accuracy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, advancedExcel skills is required
- Experience with Sage Platinum accounting software ispreferred
