Job Description:

Morson Talent have a great opportunity for a Logistics Controller to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based onsite at RNAS Yeovilton and will be responsible for the

progressing and reviewing of all operational related state demands for Yeovilton based aircraft embarked or detached including as an LFP if required. To provide a demands input and processing service in support of embarked or detached RNAS Yeovilton based aircraft and act as LFP if required.

DUTIES:

  • Monitor, maintain and manage the signal and e-mail system for EMBAV, processing incoming and outgoing signals for deployed and detached demands.
  • Liaise with ASCO to investigate alternative sources of supply for demands which are initially assessed as Inability.
  • Ensure all R2 assets are investigated as a solution prior to demand being passed to the relevant SLICT.
  • Liaise with the relevant SLICT to progress ‘In Scope’ assets that are inability, controlled or R&O to actively meet RDD.
  • To ensure an ASDER is created and updated for all EMBAV demands with feedback and delivery forecasts updated and passed back to the demanding unit.
  • Update the SCOC Spreadsheet as required.
  • Conduct handover to and receive takeover from the SC Duty Staff on a daily basis (Mon-Fri) and provide a daily brief to the Logistics Manager on all outstanding ASDER demands.
  • Vet demands to ensure each demand has the correct NATO Stock Number and part Number.
  • To assist in the progression of high priority demands and to ensure demands are hastened to ensure RDDs are achieved.
  • To ensure demands are given the correct priority code, state caveat and RDD.
  • Operate all IT systems relevant to the role, to include SAP, MJDI, CIETP and ModNet.
  • Initiate and update ASDER for all EMBAV/LFP initiated demands.
  • Work with the ILOC, establish and maintain strong working relationships with all Industry Alliance and MoD Stakeholders to deliver the Contracted spares service in direct support of aircraft availability.
  • Act as the focal point for UARTS for deployed and detached units and ensure items subject Unserviceable Return Time monitoring are hastened.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by LH Management.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities and the ability to apply them in a support environment.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the Customers organisation structure, processes and procedures.
  • Have a working knowledge of the end-to end Material Supply process from Supplier to Customer.
  • Be PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of a Service Delivery environment.
  • Working knowledge of the company organisation and operating procedures for business, commercial, finance, technical and procurement.
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to interface with all levels of the Authority and industry daily including the confidence to lead joint Industry / Customer / Supplier meetings and teams.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with experience of working on and managing across, multi-disciplinary teams.
