Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate GL entries, reconciling financial statements, and ensuring that the general ledger data is accurate and up to date.

- General Ledger
- Perform miscellaneous and adjust journal entries.
- Reconcile working journals to general ledger at month-end.
- Update month-end workbooks with data and spreadsheets.
- Maintain the daily bank reconciliation.
- Inventory Counts
- Assist with regular cycle/full counts of inventory and data entry.
- Fixed Asset Tracking
- Record and maintain record of fixed assets.
- Record monthly depreciation.
- Record any sale or disposal of fixed assets.
- Receivables Management
- Assist with accounts receivable activities as needed.
- Ensure sales tax, retentions, accounts receivable GLs are reconciled on an ongoing basis.
- Run credit references and review with the Accounting Manager.
- Month-End Process
- Perform reconciliations on balance sheet accounts.
- Update and roll-forward financial and monthly management reports.
- Other
- Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting team.
- Support ad-hoc accounting projects, data analysis, and system implementations.
- Conduct research and investigate discrepancies as needed to ensure financial statements are presented in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provides management with required reports, advises, and escalates any issues impacting Financial Reporting.
- Reconcile expense reports.
- Builds and maintains professional customer relationships via phone, email, and personal interactions.
- Maintain reliable, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Successful completion and favorable results of pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
- Adhere to all Aero Air policies and standards of conduct.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting or similar field.
- 3+ years of experience working as a GL Accountant, or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and standards including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the day.
- Accurate hand/eye coordination.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
