Position Summary
This General Accounting position involves various accounting functions related to supporting corporate/staff as well as the operational units
Responsibilities
Monthly closing, journal entries and correspondence to multiple divisions
Various monthly account reconciliations/analysis
Monthly Sales Tax reporting
Support Sales Tax Exemption process
Budget review and analysis
Fixed Asset maintenance
Cost Accounting back-up
Internal and external audit support
Intercompany accounting/reconciliation
Weekly Payroll processing support
Various monthly accounting duties and responsibilities
Special projects as necessary
Qualifications
Education/Skills
Bachelors degree in Accounting
One to two years accounting experience preferred
Good knowledge of all aspects of general accounting
Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
Ability to multi-task and work effectively with others in a team environment
Strong team player mindset/attitude
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
