The Technical Records Controller is responsible for updating, maintaining, and organizing the current and historical aircraft technical records. In an accurate and timely manner, assess transaction updates and documentation to ensure compliance, with respect to correct flight hours and cycles and calendar limitations, current and forecasted.
- Compile, organize, and update technical documentation related to Air Transat aircraft/engine maintenance and components according to Transport Canada norms and regulations;
- Ensure that upcoming inspections and components changes are done on their scheduled date as per airworthiness limitations and maintenance requirements, and must do a follow-up;
- Liaise and respond to queries from other bases, departments, customers, and manufacturers representatives along with shop personnel as required;
- Analyzeoutputsand extract pertinent technical data from automated systems;
- Assist with organization and safety of all aircraft technical reports;
- Conduct daily audits of technical logs, work orders, work packages, material packages and related data for accuracy, following-up on errors or omissions and advise Quality and/or Engineering departments of any discrepancies;
- Prepare and/or review documentation to demonstrate/validate an accurate traceability for Life Limited Parts that are part of an airframe or any of its major assemblies;
- Participate in compilation and verification of documentation and technical records required for aircraft or assembly importation or lease return/sale in conformity with Transport Canada requirements and agreements in force;
- File and archive all documents relating to aircraft/engines.
