The Access and Identity Security Specialist is a critical role within a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor organization, responsible for managing physical and logical access control systems. This position ensures the issuance, maintenance, and revocation of identification badges while upholding stringent DoD security standards to safeguard personnel, facilities, and sensitive information. The specialist serves as the primary point of contact for access-related inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining operational efficiency in a secure environment.

The Access and Identity Security Specialist plays an essential part in maintaining the integrity of the DoD contractor’s security framework. By ensuring accurate badge management and access control, this position directly contributes to the protection of personnel, assets, and classified information critical to national defense objectives.

What You’ll be Doing as an Access and Identity Security Specialist

· Process, create, distribute, collect, and facilitate security badges for employees, contractors, and authorized visitors using designated systems and equipment.

· Access Control Administration: Assign and configure access permissions based on personnel roles, clearance levels, and operational requirements.

· Compliance and Security Oversight including but not limited to adhering to DoD security protocols, federal regulations, and contractor-specific policies to maintain a secure environment.

· Respond to inquiries from employees, visitors, and stakeholders regarding badge functionality, access issues, or procedural requirements as well as troubleshoot and resolve routine badge-related problems, escalating complex technical issues to appropriate support teams.

· Operational Maintenance such as but not limited to performing routine checks on badge issuance equipment (e.g., printers, scanners) to ensure operational readiness.

· Coordinate with security teams, facility managers, and IT personnel to address access control needs and resolve discrepancies.

· Report significant updates, such as lost badges or system malfunctions, to supervisors and relevant departments.

Job Requirements:

Skills You Bring to This Role

· Basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), as related to a cleared defense contractor (CDC)

· Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

· Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with individuals of all levels across every function within Bell

· Proficiency with MS office products, office technology, including computers, databases, and badge issuance systems (training provided as needed).

· Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in documentation or processes.

· Capacity to remain composed and follow established procedures under pressure or during security incidents.

What You Need to be Successful

· High School Diploma/GED required.

· 4 years experience in an administrative, customer service, or security-related role.

· Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, requiring a comprehensive background investigation. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory per DoD contractor requirements

· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift light supplies (up to 25 pounds), and occasionally move within the facility to perform duties.

· Prior experience with badge issuance, access control systems, or identity verification is highly preferred.
