Job Description:
  • Compiles and records production data for maintenance and modification operations performed on CH-53 aircrafts.
  • Prepares records and reports using data from maintenance and inspection records, forms, documents, workbooks and time and attendance records, following prescribed recording procedures, using typewriter and other devices.
  • Calculates and analyzes such factors as cost accounting, man-hour expenditures, nonproductive time, production rates and statistical reports, using adding machine or calculator.  
  • Writes Production Reports based on data compiled,tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Maintains file of production control data, forms and reports.  
  • Prepares written work instructions and schedules based on established guidelines and priorities. 
  • Charts production schedules and phased man-loading using charts and graphs, based on compiled statistical data.
  • Aircraft maintenance administration specialist (Logs and Records Clerk) is responsible for the management and sustainment of all aircraft log books, aeronautical equipment service records (AESR), aircraft maintenance publications / files, prepare reports, logs records, directives and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations activity. Should to be familiar with and able to use, Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA), Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) hardware and its associated remote peripheral subsystems.
  • Analyze control charts and program maintenance and man-hour statistical information to aid the maintenance managers and logisticians in the performance of their assigned tasks.Perform data processing, data entry.
  • Aircraft Engine Data Tracking via OOMA for Engine Management (FAME)
  • Out processing parts to the Air Force and ensuring the Daily Flight Schedules/Projects are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Engine Data Tracking and Aircraft Fatigue Life Maintenance Systems in addition to establishing the IETMS (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals)
  • Manage and maintain all aircraft records and ensure addition of new aircraft into NAMIS and initial records uploading.
  • Provide a daily update of aircraft status and configuration and record all inspections and changes in Inventory and asset configuration
  • Identify and record work requests (WR) that require log book entries.
  • Identify Near due components/inspections and issue any associated work requests
  • Review, print, and file FPRs (Flight Preparedness Report) for assigned aircraft
  • Assist flight crews with maintenance scheduling and required paperwork (NAVFLIRS)
  • Monitor, verify and log aircraft inventory records and technical directive (TDs) for documentation in aircraft logs and records and history files
  • Other duties as maybe required or assigned
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Must have working knowledge of the Optimized Naval Aviation Logistic Management Information System
  • Must have 3 years’ experience in Marine/NAVY Aviation Supply, on OOMA.
  • Completion of Military Technical Training or comparable Civilian Trade School is desired.
  • Graduate of the marine Aviation Supply Specialist School Required or Preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must have and obtain a valid state driver's license when required by job assignment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp.
  • Must be able to walk for long distances moving from one work site to another.
  • Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as for typing.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 20 pounds.
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects or small parts.
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold.
  • Will be subject to noise and hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat.
  • Subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
  • Must be able to work in narrow aisles or passageways.
  • You will be required to comply with safety requirements of the Standard.
