Conduct analyses regarding the development of flight crew systems ensure operational reliability, cost efficiency, and contractual / regulatory compliance. The Analyst provides technology solutions and services that will improve or sustain the business operations. In addition, the Analyst is responsible for the availability of critical Crew systems and the development & application of Branch-wide automation hardware and software standards.
ResponsibilitiesWork with key stakeholders to gather, validate, and document user requirements using industry standard best practices.Provide guidance and coordination to all departments of the Branches, as it relates to processes and automation.Crew IT department liaison to other Branches, including Corporate IT, as a “single point of contact” between the Branch and others, and to coordinate inter-Branch activities.Provide support to payroll group on current Crew pay applicationsCrew IT department liaison to Outsourced Service Providers (IBM, CGI, LSY,), as a “single point of contact” between the Branch and others, and as an escalation point to resolve issues.Investigate, recommend and implement process improvements within the Branch as it relates to automation.Define, build, coordinate and execute all manner of system testing (functional, regression, and UAT).Monitor and prepare the transition of projects from implementation to steady state.Manage, write, and execute test scripts and any functional, UAT, and/or regression testing involving these applications.Manage projects and initiatives related areas of responsibility or as assigned.Travel may be required.
QualificationsUniversity degree or college diploma preferred.Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal. A demonstrated ability to analyze, determine and document functional and non-functional requirements.Demonstrated practical experience in use case/test script developmentPractical experience in system integration activities (development, troubleshooting, testing)Demonstrated practical experience in business case development.Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of SOTI MDM, Microsoft Office Suite. To demonstrate analytical “out of the box” critical thinking and solutions.Excellent organizational skills.Must be able to work well within a team environment.Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Bilingualism in French is an asset.Knowledge of Crew Systems and Payroll processes is an asset.
