• Responsible for ​assisting with the development and implementation of all internal communication strategies, recognition and events in collaboration with business units and internal customers to ensure initiatives are in line with a focus on improving culture and employee engagement.
• This job is a member of the IOC Planning & Support team within the Integrated Operations Division​.

• Establishes an internal communications strategy in conjunction with IOC leadership
• Ensures organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to team members
• Manages IOC Jetnet website and other internal IOC communication tools, including email boxes
• Responds to feedback from staff and adjusts communications content accordingly
• Manages an internal task force, and liaisons with IOC vendors
• Advises senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication
• Completes event management with internal groups and external partners, including but not limited to, promotion, event prep, budgeting, room management, and communication, clean up
• Handles internal communication response to crisis situations that affect team members and may impact organizational perception and reputation (Water outage, reporting to the BRCC, etc.)
• Manages centralized training room booking process.
• Organizes IOC tours for internal and external customers, including booking tour space, managing logistics, and conducting tours as needed.
• Ad hoc project coordination as needed (Holiday meal serving, team member appreciation day, etc).

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations or spaneting
• 3+ years experience working within a communications team, preferably a focus on internal communication for a mid to large sized organization
• Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​4 years experience with Web communications, publishing, usability and/or social media
• Exprience with internal communication for a mid to large sized organization

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• ​Skills in journalism
• Excellent organization skills and experience with project management
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers
• Ability to accomplish projects with minimal supervision
• Exceptional customer service and high expectations for work quality
• Proficient using the web to conduct research, event administration and procurement as well as with the latest versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
