The role:
Analytics & Insight Analyst
To provide analytical insight and support to enable tactical and strategic direction across BA Euroflyer business areas,
To develop and maintain required data models/reporting/visualisations to support day to day decision-making.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with the wider team to design and build new dashboards & reports to ensure consistent data use through reporting, being fluent in translating users needs into developing solutions.
- Undertakes ad-hoc analytical and Visualisation projects to drive insight on specific business issues leading to tactical or strategic actions to be taken within BA Euroflyer
- Regularly presents detailed findings to key stakeholders to enable effective strategic decision making
- Delivers concise and effective Management Information to keep the BA Euroflyer Leadership Team abreast of the company outlook.
- Act as the PowerBI Champion across Euroflyer, implementing best practices and serving as a role model and coach across the PowerBI platform, developing and maintaining regular and bespoke visual reports, scorecards and dashboards using PowerBI and other tools to support decision-making across BA Euroflyer teams, automating as much of the reporting cycle as possible to enable teams to access and understand key measures and metrics efficiently over different devices (desktop, mobile, iPad).
- Use strong SQL skills to build effective and efficient queries and data feeds that are fit for reporting purposes.
- Maintain & support the analytics platforms, troubleshooting problems where they arise.
- Develop solutions and processes that are scaleable, automating wherever possible.
- Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with colleagues at BA Euroflyer, British Airways, London Gatwick Airport and other external parties
- Undertakes any other duties appropriate to the role as may be assigned
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Data literate, with strong numerical grounding to build data solutions that can drive powerful insights.
- Skilled in synthesizing complex information, whether with a data visualisation or key messages to present insight confidently and clearly in order to deliver clear recommendations that can be implemented effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to different audiences and creating impactful Powerpoint presentations/decks
- Effectively influences by building relationships, working collaboratively at all levels
- Excellent team player capable of working and develop strong working relationships with teams and departments at all levels around the airline group
- Able to manage the delivery of multiple concurrent pieces of work/projects using good project and time management skills, working independently and without close supervision
- Ability to extract user requirements and translate them into reporting/Models/Visualisation solutions
Your experience:
- Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualization and reporting, particularly in a context of automation and self-service report development.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Knowledge of Excel, including PowerQuery, to advanced level
