Ethiopian Airlines Group would like to invite international qualified candidates for its New Mega Hub Airport in the capacity of Architect/Terminal Planner (Expat) position.

• : BSc Degree in Architecture/Planning Engineering from a recognized University/College/Vocational School with a minimum of 15 years’ experience, out of which minimum of 5 years in Airport.
• Language proficiency: Fluent in written and Spoken in English Language.
• Key Competencies:
  • Oversee, review and manage the development of terminal planning studies and assessments including commercial terminal studies, airport and terminal/landside plans, program implementation, and business plans for commercial service airports
  • Extensive experience in the design of large-scale terminal buildings, including passenger terminals, check-in counters, security screening areas, and lounges.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and advanced visualization tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of international airport terminal design standards and best practices, including those set by ICAO, IATA, and local aviation authorities.
  • Experience in designing terminals that meet global standards for passenger flow, safety, and accessibility.
  • Expertise in designing terminal layouts that optimize operational efficiency, including passenger check-in, security screening, baggage handling, and boarding processes.
  • Ability to integrate operational requirements with architectural design to enhance the overall passenger experience.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and environmental regulations applicable to airport terminal construction.
  • Experience in incorporating energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials, and green building practices into terminal designs.
  • Proficiency in space planning to create functional and user-friendly terminal environments that accommodate high passenger volumes and diverse needs.
  • Ability to design flexible spaces that can adapt to changing operational requirements and future expansions.
  • Experience in integrating terminal designs with other airport systems, including baggage handling systems, security systems, and passenger information systems.
  • Knowledge of how architectural elements interact with operational technologies and systems.
  • Understanding of international and local building codes, regulations, and standards related to airport terminal construction.
  • Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, and passengers, to gather input and feedback on terminal design.
  • Ability to incorporate stakeholder requirements and preferences into the design process.
