Job Purpose

Accountable for ensuring the day-to-day operations of HR Benefits adhere to QR Groups policies, procedures and programs by providing efficient and timely service for employees across the Group. Responsible for the day-to-day processing and management of the HR Benefits, and timely implementation of the following benefits for QR group in line with HR policies by coordinating effectively with various stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between health plan providers and stakeholders for employee benefits.
  • Analyze services, coverage, and options available through insurance providers to determine programs best meeting needs of organization.
  • Contribute to the definition of system requirement for use by IT developers to support HR benefits systems needs.
  • Evaluate and analyze the one time / additional requirements of staff seeking exceptional approval for health insurance, school fees claim and assist Policies and HR Management department towards contributing the decision to pay or not to pay.
  • Responsible for planning the annual renewal with medical insurer, and planning/ overseeing the distribution channels throughout QR and subsidiaries.
  • Liaise with regional HR team and arrange necessary approval for yearly renewal of medical, life and personal accident policy across the globe
  • Liaise with regional HR team across the globe to review and provide necessary approval for car, housing, mobile allowances.
  • Recommend and support implementation of changes to template/systems based on QR policies and management provisions.
  • Support the continuous processes development of the online HRMS module for the HR Benefits as per the Organisational requirements.
  • Respond and communicate effectively to queries with regard to Benefits policies and procedures. Respond to complaints and request for information by assisting and explaining procedures and policies in response to inquiries.
  • Update knowledge and information about benefits program to ensure HR decisions abide by the set programs, QR policies and local law. Also ensure accurate and relevant information is available.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

About You

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma (Type of Diploma Based on Role)/ Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4-5 years of experience in employee benefits.
  • Working knowledge of HR / Administration preferably in Airline industry or Health Care Company.
  • Proven experience in demonstrating flexibility to meet the changing demands of the business.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to defined time scales and budget
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and writing.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Sound judgement, good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Continuous process improvement capability.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.

Preferred

  • A tertiary accreditation in Human Resources will be an advantage.
