Job Purpose


The Business Analysts are the problem solvers of the organisation and the key interface with our business. They are responsible for capturing business requirements within agreed timeframes, cost and quality parameters in collaboration with internal and third-party teams. 
The role works closely with colleagues across technology, architecture, information security and change to analyse requests, define new solutions and processes and deliver new products and services to meet the needs of projects and programmes within the prioritised portfolio.

You will need to demonstrate a product mindset and must have experience of Agile, and actively contributes throughout the delivery and supports improving the process

What you’ll need to do the role 

·    Accountable for preparing, evaluating and documenting business requirements adhering to industry standards, best practices for Agile and Waterfall methods

·    Works within their team and collaboratively with delivery and change teams to review and prioritise new work requests through the appropriate governance, evaluating changes to processes and systems, setting business expectations from the start

·    Confident and articulate verbal communication & key stakeholder management experience

·    Works with project teams to carry out benefit management analysis and gain acceptance from the business stakeholders

⦁    Works closely with POs to help prioritise the backlog and ensure that the requirements meet the ‘Definition of done’ ready for the team

·    Works with business stakeholders to define, challenge and document clear requirements using the appropriate techniques such as MoSCoW, interviews, analysis of current systems, workshops etc.

·    Deliver the business requirements to timescales agreed with the Project, Technology Managers and POs planning and then driving the analysis phase of the projects

·    Ensures that the full impact of business change considers dependent processes and systems by carrying out structured analysis including flow diagrams, data models, user stories, story mapping, integration, use case scenarios etc

·    Evaluate effort (time and cost) and carry out impact analysis of requested change clearly identifying issues, risks, dependencies 

Job Requirements:

    Skills & Experience


    ⦁    Methodical, logical and flexible in approach, you will have gained significant experience as a Business Analyst in a matrixed organisation ideally in travel or retail and from a Digital background
    ⦁    Demonstrate 'system analysis' skills required to review the system, e.g. understanding of: APIs, Database, configuration file and some system functional logic working closely with developers
    ⦁    Experience of full delivery lifecycle as a Business Analyst including business case support, project initiation, requirement capture, scope and change management, development support, UAT, early life support and benefits realisation
    ⦁    Experience of working in a Development life cycle with Developers and Testers 
    ⦁    Effective workshop facilitation
