Summary:
Responsible for maintaining processes in the NDT lab/Metrology area and in the Tooling Management System (TMS) platform. Assist in tasks relating to calibration and inspections delegated to NDT (slings, gas detectors, etc.)
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with outside calibration vendor and tooling department for pick-ups and drop offs (scheduled daily) as well as urgent items in between.
2. Data entry into TMS to update tools and transfer status.
3. Email correspondence between the company and its vendors when necessary.
4. Send internal emails related to the calibrated tool status as needed
5. Verify accuracy of the calibration information entered into TMS
6. Running audits of TMS to maintain system consistency.
7. Scanning and filing hard copies of equipment calibration and inspection certificates.
8. Attach calibration sticker to equipment as necessary.
9. Research out of tolerance tools for quality investigations.
10. Assist tooling department and delegated inspector in locating chain hoists and slings for availability of inspection.
11. Maintaining digital/scanned copies of load tests and inspection reports of chain hoists and slings.
12. Maintain and assist in the daily usage of gas detectors (including, but not limited to, performing daily bump checks and quarterly calibrations, maintaining digital and hard copies of certificates, updating TMS.)
13. Assist in filing for NDT training.
14. Assist Heat Treat personnel in performing data backups and relocations.
15. Perform any work that may be assigned by his/her supervisor.
Requirements:
Education: H.S Diploma/GED
1+ years coordinating with vendors, respond and report via email.
Strong MIcrosoft Office Skills
Work Environment:
Supervision: Work with very little immediate supervision to repair tools and to keep his/her superior advised of any difficulties in performing this task.
