Summary The Commercial Administrator will provide support from sales order entry through final shipment of Greenville Metals (GMI) production. The role will interact with quality, production, shipping/receiving, and accounting departments at GMI and Caledonian Alloys. Essential Functions Adheres to plant and department safety rules, safely operate all equipment and tools, identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible. - Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Enters sales orders including:
- Review of customer PO details for price, quantity, shipping terms and payment terms to ensure consistency with GMI quotations, GMI SOX matrices, and PCC policies.
- Communicate with customers to resolve any discrepancies.
- Determine correct production part number to be listed on the sales order working in collaboration with production, quality, and metallurgy departments.
- Complete customer Toll Melting forms and Raw Materials Deviations Forms.
- Commit heats to sales orders: Communicate to the customer all details of production output including chemistry, produced weight, packing list details, and any other special customer requirements.
- Work with Finance to set up all new customers and update current customers in Glovia, along with customer invoice payment dates, late payments and credit limits.
- Research visitors and new customers using the PCC Corp Denied Parties application.
- Complete US Trade Compliance questionnaires: Flow Path, End Use Statement, Order Processing Screen, Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Manage customer onsite and aged inventory.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities.
- Participate in SOX testing as a tester.
- Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX guidelines.
Education and Experience Associate’s Degree or higher in Business Administration or related field. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Metals industry and customer service background preferred. Competencies - Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications.
