As a Configuration Analyst, you will manage the configuration of our engineering and manufacturing products through the use of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. These cover a very wide range, from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. Youll plan and coordinate the preparation of product structure to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and industry standards. This includes input and accuracy of Product Data to include Parts and Bills of Materials (BoMs) as well as auditing the Configuration Management systems usage and verification of product configuration.
We are seeking a meticulous Configuration Analyst to manage and control the technical publications for multiple aircraft fleets and products, ensuring they align with the product structure needs for SNC modifications, the operations for these modifications, and the requirements of the CLS teams maintenance plans. This role focuses on maintaining configuration control, ensuring that any changes to our products are accurately reflected in the technical publications, and that these documents are kept in the most current approved status. Responsibilities:
- Manage and control technical publications for multiple aircraft fleets and products. Ensure alignment of technical publications with SNC modifications and CLS teams maintenance plans.
- Maintain configuration control of all technical documents using Microsoft Office Suite and 3DX.
- Ensure prompt and accurate reflection of any product changes in the technical publications.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to gather necessary data.
- Update and distribute technical manuals, ensuring they are in the most current approved versions.
- Perform regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to team members and stakeholders on technical publication processes and best practices.
Must-haves:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field of study and typically 6 years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Understanding of Documentation Control Database systems
- Configuration Management: Strong understanding of configuration control processes and tools, particularly in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in technical publications.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret technical data, product structures, and maintenance requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and 3DX for documentation and configuration management.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to technical publications and configuration management
- Aerospace or Defense Industry Certification: Relevant certifications related to the aerospace or defense industry, demonstrating specialized knowledge and expertise.
Preferred:
- Experience with Aircraft Systems: Familiarity with aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures to effectively manage technical publications for aviation products
- Advanced Software Skills: Proficiency in advanced features of Microsoft Office Suite and 3DX
- Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for technical documentation, such as ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, or MIL-STD-40051
- Change Management: Experience in managing change requests and understanding the impact of product changes on technical publications
- Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality assurance processes and techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of technical publications.
- Database Management: Experience with database management and version control systems to track and manage document revisions and updates
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues related to documentation and configuration control
- Technical Expertise: Technical background or education in engineering, aerospace, or a related field to better understand and communicate complex technical information
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
