Position Summary
The Content Data Analyst is responsible for conducting original equipment (OE) and competitive research on filtration products, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the catalog database and application matrices. This role involves mapping industry standard formats to data within the catalog system, producing and distributing both printed and electronic catalogs, and managing web page catalog content.
Responsibilities
- Is responsible for conducting OE and competitive research on filtration products.
- Is responsible for the updating of the catalog database and application matrices.
- Responsible for the mapping of industry standard formats to data within our catalog system. An example of a current standard is AAIA ACES.
- Responsible for the timely sending of appropriate data files, in the proper industry formats, to e-cats and other approved receivers.
- Responsible for all updates, production, and distribution of all catalogs both printed and electronic.
- Responsible of the web page catalog content, updates to that data and new formats as required.
- Updates all e-cat providers with cross-reference and product guide data on a timely basis.
- Tracks pending obsolete products and announces their obsolescence.
- Completes special research related assignments.
- Responsible for answering written, fax, and telephone inquiries concerning application and other catalog information.
- Attends trade shows to survey equipment and gather information necessary for application information.
- Reviews all new filter announcements prior to distribution.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of electronic pricing files.
- Makes recommendations for department improvements to the Catalog & Research Manager.
- Works with general office equipment including personal computer, fax and copy machines.
- Responsible for the quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
Qualifications
Required: High school education, with some coursework in business.
Preferred: Associate degree with an emphasis in spaneting. Three or more years of relevant work experience.
