What You will do:
You will partner with team members across the various departments to provide project leadership and implementation for improvement projects. You will be responsible for consulting, organizing, leading, and facilitating cross functional initiatives including mapping business processes, gathering and analyzing process data to identify root causes to develop solutions to improve and enable measurable results in process efficiency, customer satisfaction, product quality and financial savings. You will have the essential responsibilities outlined below:
- Track the implementation, progress, and general status of continuous improvement projects.
- Develop metrics that provide data to quantify the results of continuous improvement projects.
- Continuous improvement plans, while working in tandem with the respective process owners and other stakeholders.
- Communicate and build consensus on continuous improvement projects by understanding the resistance expected and assessing the best ways to implement the planned change.
- Articulate the vision for improvement projects, inspire trust, and engender support for improvement projects.
- He/she or may perform other functions as directed by the Continuous Improvement Supervisor and/or The Continuous Improvement and Methods Engineering Manager.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
SUPERVISION: The incumbent normally performs the duty assignment at his or her discretion and is limited only by policies set by administrative or legislative authority. Total end results determine the effectiveness of job performance.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship among employees, various departments, management, and the public.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to cope with stress and mental exhaustion due to the pressures of accomplishing set goals, meeting short deadlines, maintaining numerous projects simultaneously, employee confrontations and long work hours.
What YOU must bring to Succeed:
EDUCATION: Within 18 months of acquiring college degree, engineering degree preferred. (Work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements).

- Ability to think logically and systematically to improve and create systems to solve problems.
- Knowledge of the basic quality and project management tools.
- Knowledge in the use of lean tools and methodologies including Cycle-time Reduction/Business Process Re-engineering, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Waste Reduction, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, Kanban,
- Technical knowledge, including programming for Excel, Visio, Access, drafting applications, etc.
- Possess sense of urgency, great attitude and work ethic and must be able to get things done without delays.
- Ability to dispassionately pierce to the facts of a matter without getting side tracked by personal and non-objective concerns or issues.
- Familiar in techniques and tools for measuring project success, and the use of statistical techniques to analyze data to generate useful information a plus.
