Raytheon Applied Signal Technology (AST) is searching for a Contracts Administrator to perform in our San Jose, CA Office. AST provides trusted strategic and tactical signal intelligence solutions that protect the interests of the U.S. and its partners.

What You Will Do

• Perform a full range of contract functions for government contracting; including acquisition and negotiations, administration and execution of contract terms, customer interface, and final close out consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulations and company policies and procedures
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of business agreements, i.e., teaming agreements, proprietary information agreements, etc.; along with understanding of management, organization, planning and controls
• Recognize contractual issues and/or risks in program performance, recommend and implement solutions, prepare for and negotiate sound business deals with customers and provide governance to the program team in carrying out the terms and requirements of the contract
• Provide proactive leadership; the ideal candidate must develop credibility both internally and externally to drive improvement
• Analyze complex problems and evaluate various solutions
• Engage with team members, foster strong partnership and demonstrate a highly collaborative/proactive leadership approach

Qualifications You Must Have

• 5+ years of experience working with US Government and International contracts, with expertise in FAR and DFARS
• Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulating recommendations to management
• Experience negotiating contract terms, conditions and change management, and working with various contract types (CP, FFP, T&M, IDIQ)
• Experience with being the customer interface
• The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge of program management principles, company policies and procedures
• Understanding of Forward Pricing Rates and preparation of proposals
• Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions with respect to cost management, earned value, funding management, reporting, etc.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
