From dispatching and routing our aircraft, to scheduling our crew needed to fly our planes and even air traffic control, our Network Operations team helps us run a safe, reliable airline. Key Responsibilities:

Pilot Crew Schedulers ensure that all flights in our reliable Worldwide network are accurately staffed with a legal flight crew in support of the Go Forward Plan as it relates to United’s goal of providing safe, efficient, and reliable air transportation for our customers.

  • Assign all open flying to qualified flight crew members according to Federal Aviation Regulations, Pilot Contract and Company policies
  • Monitor flight crew legalities, reassign pilots for on-time performance or to ensure compliance with FAA /CBA limitations (esp. due to flight delays, cancellations, aircraft substitutions) and communicate changes
  • Assist pilots with monthly line improvement and schedule management, including performing trip trades (as well as drops and pickups), documenting absences, and performing CMS transactions to ensure accurate crew pay, preservation of pilot activity records, and quality assurance (FAR compliance, flight time, qualification data, etc.)
  • 24-hour communications center/point of contact for pilot work group, providing round-the-clock support to flight crew members with regards to schedule and flight-related issues, sick notices, delay notifications, assignment modifications, etc.)

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • High School diploma
  • Successful track record of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills
  • Computer knowledgeable
  • Multi-task oriented, with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a stressful environment with frequent interruptions
  • History of punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Must be able to work any/all shifts (24/7 operation)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Previous scheduling or flight crew member experience
  • Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment
