As a Cyber Analyst at British Airways, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the identification, understanding, and response to cyber threats, as well as assessing and managing cyber risk. Reporting directly to the Head of Cyber Threat and Risk, you will work closely with Cyber Threat Leads and Risk Analysts to uphold our commitment to world-class risk management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyse and create threat intelligence products, disseminating them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support Cyber Threat Leads during incident response, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of decisions.
  • Assist in creating incident runbooks for effective, repeatable, and consistent response to cyber incidents.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to contribute to lessons-learned exercises.
  • Produce and analyse cyber risk assessments to support risk-based decision-making.
  • Support the management and maintenance of the Cyber and IT Risk Log.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Develop dashboards to facilitate decision-making, communication, and team prioritization.
  • Advise stakeholders on risk management and reduction, promoting awareness in alignment with cyber awareness programs.

What You’ll Bring to British Airways:

  • Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proactive and analytical mindset, with a keen interest in technology and information systems.
  • Experience in writing formal documentation, including reports and assessments.
  • Familiarity with cyber security principles and frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIS, or NCSC cyber guidance preferred.
  • Passion for aviation and the transport industry.
  • Self-driven with attention to detail, structured approach to work, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical ability and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest technology and news in cyber security.

Your Experience:

  • Good verbal communicator, adept at simplifying complex concepts.
  • Experience in analytical thinking and taking initiative.
  • Exposure to cyber security principles and frameworks preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, information, and communication systems.
  • Experience in writing formal documentation.
  • Passion for aviation and the transport industry.
