In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Summary:
Responsible for application analysis, design, development, integration, enhancement, and support of complex issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Performs installation, functional and performance testing, maintenance, and modification of commercial off the shelf (COTS) software.
•Demonstrates project management skills and may serve as a technical lead on IT projects.
•Resolves moderately complex computer security issues by designing, developing, and implementing innovative technical solutions.
•Provides technical leadership in areas of responsibility and looks for ways to apply latest technologies for improvements to software and organizational effectiveness.
•Participates in planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure. 
•Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to assure all systems align with the long-term IT strategy.
•Assists in developing buy vs. build recommendations, including advises on system options, risks, return on investment (ROI), and impacts on business processes and goals.
•Analyzes existing information systems and applications to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements. and May lead the evaluation and selection process for new application packages.
•Identifies system requirements, develops application specifications, conversion and migration designs.
•Establishes liaison relationship with business partner and/or suppliers to provide technical solutions through the analysis of business workflows and an understanding of business needs.
•Manages multiple priorities of projects and requests.
•Assesses customer needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs.


You Must Have:
•Two or more years of direct work experience.
•Bachelors degree, certification or two additional years of direct work exp in lieu of Bachelors degree or certification.
•US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance

•Technical expertise with languages: SQL, Python, R, Java, Spark, Scala
•Technical expertise in Business Intelligence: MicroStrategy preferred, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, other.
•Technical expertise in Data Science/Data Engineering (4+ medium to complex projects: Dataiku Preferred, Databricks, Jupyter, Zeppelin, etc...)
•Subject Matter expertise in Manufacturing, Government/DOE, Supply Chain, Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, Data Warehousing, Big Data, Security, Semantic Layer, Visualization, Agile, Git.
•Two or more years of direct work experience supporting Data Science Workbench Application (Dataiku preferred).
•4 years combined experience coding in (Python, SQL, R, Data Science Workbench Tool).
•Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
