Through DoD SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes, Sierra Nevada Corporation provides internships to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These internships include up to six months of on-the-job training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.
As a Technical Trainer, you will develop, coordinate, document, and conduct training programs. You will utilize a consultative approach to facilitate with project leads, clients, Business Area Leaders, and Directors, to analyze Training and Development needs. You will put together multifaceted interventions/solutions that may include Change Management and/or Training Solutions that are unique to the clients particular needs while working with Directors and Project Managers to partner and agree on respective roles, responsibilities, and expected results. You will monitor the training or intervention programs and modify them as necessary to ensure that all identified needs are being met. These programs will consist of training sessions both onsite and offsite, self-directed study courses, computer-based training, change management, career development, performance management, and individual development planning.
The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Qualifications You Must Have:
• Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field of study and 2+ years of work experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Relevant experience beyond 3+ years may be considered in lieu of required education
• Strong experience working with Aircraft Ground Support Equipment
• Experience with supporting/addressing customer training objectives
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Background in technical training, programs, communications, or other similar function
• Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is preferred
