Key Responsibilities:

• Labor Cost Analysis: Analyze and track direct labor costs, working hours, and productivity. Identify trends, variances, and inefficiencies to provide actionable insights.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare and maintain labor cost forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Provide input to financial planning for labor-related expenses.
• Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to direct labor efficiency, such as labor cost per unit, hours worked, and production output.
• Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance analysis on labor costs, identifying reasons for deviations from budget or forecast. Provide recommendations to address inefficiencies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, HR, and production teams to gather data and ensure accurate reporting. Collaborate on labor optimization initiatives and cost control measures.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing labor efficiency metrics, trends, and actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements that can drive efficiencies in direct labor usage, recommending solutions to management.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc analysis to support i) business decisions and ii) special projects related to labor efficiency.
• Systems Management: Ensure the integrity of labor cost data within financial systems, and recommend improvements in data collection or reporting processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, with a focus on labor costs, direct labor efficiency, or manufacturing finance.
• Strong understanding of direct labor cost drivers and financial principles related to labor performance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions and pivot tables.
• Experience with financial planning software (SAP) and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a similar analytical role.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments.

Profile and other information related to the position

Compensation is $70,000-$85,000 base salary plus annual target bonus. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
