This position is integral to our Fatigue Risk Management team, which plays a key role in advancing safety best practices throughout the industry. Our aim is to propel easyJet into becoming the worlds foremost data-driven airline. Comprising subject matter experts, our team collaboratively focuses on steering and bolstering safety as our top priority. Simultaneously, we strive to devise innovative and customised solutions for intricate challenges. Our close collaboration with various internal stakeholders within easyJet, as well as external research entities, is fundamental to the success of multiple ongoing projects.

What you’ll be doing:

In the role of FRMS Development Analyst, reporting to the FRMS Development & Analysis Manager, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of data, analytics, and visualisations. Your tasks will include delivering bespoke developments, such as modelling and machine learning tasks, while reviewing and researching fatigue safety effectiveness across our communities. Your key accountabilities involve maintaining processes related to fatigue-related analyses, liaising with functional areas for project feasibility, promoting FRMS analytics across the company, and identifying relevant information for business processes. Additionally, you will maintain bio-mathematical models, conduct ad hoc analysis, review new technologies for safety function use, and support the FRMS Development & Analysis Manager. Your competencies align with the TLS job family framework, emphasising ownership and delivery, customer and shareholder value, business performance, innovation and change, building relationships, developing talent, and inspirational leadership.

What you’ll need to do the role:

Bringing experience in numerical and analytical roles, along with strong proficiency in VBA and coding languages like Python or R for data extraction and manipulation from large databases, you possess a keen ability to learn and apply knowledge effectively. Your logical and analytical mindset, coupled with self-motivation and results orientation, makes you adept in fast-paced environments. Demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn, you stay updated on advancements in machine learning, data analytics, and visualisation. Your clear and confident communication skills enable effective interaction across all organisational levels, while your innovative thinking drives you to devise positive solutions. Additionally, your familiarity with analytical techniques enhances your contribution to the team.

Location & Hours of Work

This role is based in Luton and Hybrid with 3 days in the office.
